Woodestic & Carrom Questions

Carrom is played on a square board with a pocket in each corner. Players take turns flicking a heavier striker disc to knock their own coloured pieces into the pockets. The red queen is worth extra but must be followed by one of your own pieces, known as covering. It can be played by two players or as doubles.

A standard carrom set has 19 pieces, often called carrom men or coins: nine white, nine black and one red queen, plus a striker that players flick to move them.

Carrom powder is sprinkled lightly on the board to reduce friction, so the striker and pieces glide smoothly and shots are more consistent.

Woodestic is a Hungarian maker that has been handcrafting premium wooden board games since 2012, including carrom boards made in cherry with ebony or walnut detailing.
