About Our Foosball Tables

None. They're the same game. "Foosball" comes from the German Fußball, "table football" is the common term in the UK and much of Europe, and you'll also hear "kicker" and "table soccer."

Telescopic rods slide into themselves, so nothing sticks out the opposite side of the table. That makes them the safer choice for homes with children. Through rods pass fully through the cabinet and are standard on competition and commercial tables because they're more rigid and give a more direct feel.

As a rule of thumb, allow about a metre of clear space on each handle side so players can stand, move and swing the rods freely. Tables with through rods need extra clearance for the rod ends.

No. Ball weight, material and surface texture affect speed and grip, and competition tables are often matched to a specific ball. See our football table balls for options.
